Sirha Omnivore, a must-see annual festival of the French culinary scene and a true antechamber of contemporary cuisine since 2003, is touring the French regions. First stage: Omnivore Nord !
By putting down its suitcases at Le Touquet for 3 days of festivities, the festival invites restaurant professionals and food enthusiasts to discover the chefs, producers, breeders and brewers who make the wealth of Hauts-de-France on a Grande Scène, an Artisan Scene, a Producer Village and a Foodcourt with Northern tastes.

A cardinal point : The taste of Hauts-de-France

For its first edition, OMNIVORE NORD makes OMNIVORE :
it challenges the codes, questions the challenges of the profession in a festive setting and features contemporary chefs who bring a unique vision of the cuisine of Hauts-de-France, and more broadly of the North with the presence of chef.fe. All will highlight and honour their region, which is so rich in products and know-how, and driven by values of transmission and sharing.
Stamped with the label Région Européenne de la Gastronomie 2023, the Hauts-de-France region was the ideal destination to start this tour of France of Omnivore.

Alexandre Gauthier, the evidence

Omnivore Nord is carried by an exceptional godfather, a child of the country, an emblematic figure of Omnivore’s contemporary and faithful cuisine: Alexandre Gauthier!
Recognized ambassador of his territory and of the festival which has rewarded him many times (Prix Révélation in 2006, Prix Créateur in 2010 and 2012), he will represent this first edition in the region and all the philosophy of creative gastronomy that he carries as a chef and as a man:
“It is a chance and a pride for Omnivore to put its suitcases in the North and on the Opal Coast.
A chance to resonate the wealth of land, marine and human resources of our great and incredible territory, finally unknown.
I hope that every ethical and reasoned food stakeholder in Hauts-de-France will take part in the success and success of this event, which I hope will last.”
Alexandre Gauthier, La Grenouillère**

Ultra-local programming

A rich and ambitious programme is being prepared, illustrated by various events and spaces that reveal the talents of Hauts-de-France, the Opal Coast, the hills and lowlands of Artois and Picardy, as well as the plain of Flanders and the forests of Oise. It brings together all the worlds of fishing, breeding, market gardening and cooking on both stages for masterclasses and round tables, and in the Village which brings together thirty local artisan producers.
A total of fifty chefs invited for the occasion, including : Ismail & Inès Guerre-Genton, Florent Ladeyn, Samuel & Claire Fontaine, David Wesmaël, Camille Delcroix, Félix & Nidta Robert, Damien Laforce, and Manon Fleury. A nice squad that the Belgians Nicolas Decloedt & Caroline Baerten, among others, are delighted to join.
