Way Side Villa Located in the heart of the forest, the Museum of Touquet-Paris-Plage created in 1932, plunges the visitor into the art of modernity from the late nineteenth century to the present day. Place of character in Anglo-Norman style, the Way Side villa built in 1925, offers an atypical course sandstone rooms decorated with woodwork and warm atmosphere. The collections The museum houses the collections of the painters of the School of Etaples, photographic portraits of celebrities of the early twentieth century or artistic evidence of the history of the station. It also has a collection of modern and contemporary works of art including an exceptional collection representative of the greatest French artists from the 1950s to 1970s. Exhibitions The museum punctuates the seasons alternately presenting the permanent collection, around thematic singular clashes, and temporary exhibitions of great figures of French painting of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, in echo or counterpoint to the collection. Open to contemporary creation, the museum regularly sets up partnerships around exhibitions or artistic projects.
